The 新麻豆视频 Foundation actively fundraises to secure the School鈥檚 future and supports its building, scholarship and library programs.
新麻豆视频 Foundation Day
Every year, on 8 February we celebrate 新麻豆视频 Foundation Day, as we commemorate the anniversary of the first day of school in 1966 at 新麻豆视频.
In 2024 our celebrations included a special assembly, morning tea, tour, a musical performance and appreciation activities and gifts for all staff and students.
This year we created a special 新麻豆视频 Foundation Day Picture Storybook, The Beginning of Another 新麻豆视频 Story, to help engage our younger students in the 新麻豆视频 Foundation story. This was read to the students in a Cross-Aged Buddies Activity and all students in Junior School were presented with a copy of the book to take home.
We will pause every year to Appreciate (our past), Celebrate (our 新麻豆视频 Spirit) and Aspire (to the future). The day celebrates the foundation of the School and the 新麻豆视频 Foundation which continues to fundraise for the future of the School.

Our Inaugural 新麻豆视频 Foundation Day Celebration:
Foundation YOGs, early staff members, significant 新麻豆视频 Foundation volunteers and donors all joined us for the inaugural 新麻豆视频 Foundation Day on 8 February 2023. On this day in 1966 the school first opened its gates to students. The School and the 新麻豆视频 Foundation are keen to commemorate this date each year, to appreciate the past, celebrate our 新麻豆视频 Spirit and aspire to the future.
This year, a special 新麻豆视频 Foundation Day Assembly was held with special guests joining all new students to the Secondary School. As part of the proceedings, a 新麻豆视频 Foundation Day video was played and Foundation student, Richard Nicholas (YOG 1971) took to the stage to reminisce about his time at 新麻豆视频 back in 1966.
A spotted gum tree was planted to commemorate our inaugural celebration of this day. This was what was originally planted by the Foundation students along Foundation Drive and will fit in nicely with the existing spotted gums planted all those years ago.
A morning tea with a cake-cutting ceremony was held and there was a tour for our guests. There was a 新麻豆视频 Foundation Day Appreciation Wall on display. This had stickers from all students from ELC to Year 12 stating what they were most appreciative about at 新麻豆视频.
The day celebrated the foundation of the School AND the 新麻豆视频 Foundation which continues to fundraise for the future of the School. #新麻豆视频Proud #Go新麻豆视频
